Our goal

We want everyone to be able to read the menu, find us and order. This site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.

What we've done

  • Every photo that carries meaning has a text description. Decorative photos are hidden from screen readers.
  • You can use the whole site with a keyboard. Each link and button shows a visible outline when it has focus, and a "Skip to content" link jumps past the header.
  • Pages use real headings in order, so screen readers can move section by section.
  • Text and button colours were measured to meet the AA contrast ratio.
  • The homepage background video has no sound and a pause button. It doesn't load at all if your device is set to reduce motion, and nothing else on the site moves on its own.
  • The full menu is written into the page, so it reads without JavaScript and works with reader modes and screen readers.
  • Layouts reflow to fit a phone screen, so you can zoom in without scrolling sideways.

Where we fall short

Some things you can do from this site happen on other companies' sites, and we can't fix those ourselves: online ordering (Toast), table booking (Reserve with Google), catering (Foodbooking) and the embedded Google Map.
